It was a day of jubilation for Paramount Shipping Services, Chennai, on April 25 when it crossed another milestone in its forward journey.

On this day, Paramount Shipping Services custom-cleared for exports of 175 CBUs of HONDA BRIO to South Africa which were flagged off by Mr. M. A. Bhaskarachar, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Ennore Port Ltd (EPL), in the presence of top officials from Honda Car India, Ltd. Greater Noida, and various other dignitaries from logistics and shipping industries.

This car export event assumes greater importance for the fact that Honda Car India Ltd., a North India-based company, deciding to choose a South India-based port for exporting its vehicles.

According to Paramount Shipping Services sources, the export was made possible by the able assistance of Ennore Port management’s proactive approach to get more and more car export through its port transport service providers – Axis Carriers & Logistics Ltd., NYK Autologistics, Ground Handling Agents: MOL Auto Logistics India Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, Ennore Automotive Logistics Ltd., K-Line India Pvt. Ltd. and Honda Car India CHA – P.V. Cargo Carriers Pvt. Ltd and its South India-based counterparts – Paramount Shipping Services, Chennai.

The successful roll-on of 175 CBUs of HONDA BRIO v-Tec for export to South Africa was the culmination of an excellent team work, officials from Paramount Shipping Services told Sagar Sandesh.

It may be noted here that in the car export segment among the Indian Major Ports, Chennai Port holds the top position and Ennore Port is fast catching up to the position through its various initiatives to tap more and more export of cars via its facility.
